Renowned scholar of the poet Walt Whitman, editor of the Walt Whitman Quarterly Review, co-director of the digital Whitman Archive, and Roy J. Carver Professor of American Literature at the University of Iowa, Ed Folsom will present from his work in progress, a biography of Whitman's Leaves of Grass, the central text the poet spent 35 years composing and revising through numerous editions, in the process making one of the most significant books in American history.
