Trap and Skeet

About WCTS

7000
  • New personal records, a national champion, scholarship money, and much more helps sum up a successful weekend for the Washington College Trap and Skeet team.
  • The 2014-15 team competed in the national tourney in San Antonio.
Chemistry professor Aaron Amick and alumnus Doug Pfaff, a mathematics teacher at Kent School in Chestertown, are coaching a nationally competitive trap and skeet club.
  • Coach Doug Pfaff ’10 is a nationally competitive shooter.
Italian gun manufacturer Caesar Guerini/FABARM sponsors the College’s trap and skeet team, providing competition firearms and apparel.
  • Erica Pratt ’16 competed in the national tourney for clay targets.

Shooting clay targets has always been a favored pastime on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, but the men and women of Washington College’s Trap and Skeet Team are taking it to the next level—competing on the national stage for trophies, endowment money, and bragging rights.

The mission of Washington College Trap and Skeet is to create and nurture a safe environment for shooters of all levels to excel in various competitive shooting sports and to compete in intercollegiate shooting competitions such as the ACUI Eastern Regional Championships and the ACUI Collegiate Clay Targets Championships.
