International Studies Council

Dear Delegates,

I have the great pleasure and honor to invite you and your delegations to Washington College’s first ever High School Model United Nations Conference. The idea for this conference came to us at a delegate dinner at one of our own Model United Nations conferences, and has grown and developed into this conference - and will continue to take shape up to and through the conference. The entire Secretariat has worked tirelessly for months to put on the best conference possible and we hope to make your stay in Chestertown one you will not forget!

The conference we have put together has a unique blend of General Assembly Committees and Crisis Committees that will both test your skills as a delegate and serve inform you of some of the issues we are passionate about at WAC throughout the weekend of November 9th. Do not worry delegates - after a long day of solving world issues there will be a social event so you can get to know your fellow delegates better, and get to ask us questions about  the Washington College experience.

If you have any questions about our campus or the conference, feel free to peruse this site or email us directly at  We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

On behalf of the entire Secretariat and staff, I hope you will join us on our beautiful Washington College campus from November 8th - November 10th of 2013. I look forward to seeing you all at Washington College’s inaugural High School Model UN Conference!
