Summer Literary Salons
Founded in July 2012, the Summer Literary Salons at The Rose O’Neill Literary House are evenings of literature, music, food, drink, and good conversation. Poets & prose writers are paired with musicians for a night of lively entertainment. The aim of the Literary Salon is to bring together members of the Washington College community, residents of Chestertown and of the Eastern Shore, and a mix of local and nationally-recognized artists. All of our Summer Literary Salons are free and open to the public. Formerly called the Summer Poetry Salons, these Literary Salons now have been expanded to include readings from prose writers, as well as poets. For more information, please contact Director James Allen Hall.
The annual Summer Literary Salon series is made possible with support from the Douglass Wallop Fund.
