The Rose O’Neill Literary House has a fully equipped “Literary Kitchen” that students may use to prepare dishes with a literary or academic twist.
Snacking: 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Cooking/Baking: 4 - 8 p.m.
Snacking: noon - 5 p.m.
Cooking/Baking: noon - 4:30 p.m.
Lit House is closed.
For Programmed Events:
The kitchen is closed for general use during the Literary House’s programmed events.
To book the kitchen, please email Lindsay Lusby, at least 48 hours prior to the requested time slot.
When requesting permission to use the kitchen, please remember to explain the literary or academic focus of your baking and/or cooking.

Do respect other people’s time and space in the kitchen.
Do comply with the kitchen’s hours.
Do welcome newcomers and guests. Share, if you have enough!
Do remember that use of the kitchen is a privilege, which can be revoked.
Do complete the “kitchen clean-up checklist” after each use of the kitchen.
And, please do remember that a Lit House staff member must sign off on your completed checklist.
KITCHEN CLEAN-UP CHECKLIST
All countertops have been cleaned after use.
All appliances have been cleaned after use.
All appliances have been turned off after use.
All dishes and utensils have been washed by hand or rinsed and put in the dishwasher.
All pots and pans have been washed by hand and dried or put in the drying rack.
All leftover food supplies have been thrown out or removed from the kitchen.
