When you are ready to apply for the Young Environmental Stewards Conference, you should complete the online application form. The application submission deadline for the 2019 Conference is May 1. The second annual Young Environmental Stewards Conference will be held July 16-19, 2019.
Attendance is limited to 18 students at this time.
May 1, 2019: Application Submission Deadline
May 15, 2019: Notification of Conference acceptance and scholarships

The flat tuition fee for the Young Environmental Stewards Conference is $700.
Your tuition fee covers the following:
- Room & board for the duration of the conference. Attendees will be housed in Washington College dormitory suites. Each suite has four separate bedrooms, two shared bathrooms, and a common living area. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided by College Dining Services in Hodson Hall (unless stated otherwise on the schedule, there will be a meal downtown as well as a meal cooked over the campfire). The Center for Environment & Society will reach out to registrants regarding any dietary restrictions.
- General attendance and supplies for the conference. Supplies will vary depending on the track chosen the final day, but will also include general supplies such as a journal for notes and reflections.
- Costs to operate the College’s research vessel, Callinectes. Students will enjoy an afternoon on the 46 ft. floating classroom to explore the Chester River.
All proceeds are used solely to benefit the operation of the Young Environmental Stewards Conference and all associated programs.
