Web design is very important here in the GIS lab.
GIS Interns Kelsey Mattingly and Liberty Frank have been working under Emily Aiken to make sure the website is up to date with the most potent information. The website uses LiveWhale, which is a very user friendly content management system for higher education. Though WAC has only been live on LiveWhale for about 6 months, it has been a fairly painless transition. Be sure to check the website frequently for the newest updates!
Christopher Tucker created the MapStory Foundation and launched the first version of MapStory.org in April of 2012. The website has been under constant development since the initial launching of the website. It is our job to manage the social media sites and advise the MapStory Foundation of proper marketing techniques in order to expand.
In October of 2003, the Upper Shore Regional Council was created to serve as a regional planning and development agency for Cecil, Kent, and Queen Anne’s counties. Our team manages the social media sites and consistently updates the council’s website in order to maintain a prevalent social media presence.
The Upper Shore Harvest Directory is a free tool offered to local businesses in Cecil, Kent, and Queen Anne’s Counties which will encourage consumers to shop local and help them easily do so. The GIS web team manages the Harvest Directory website and regularly updates webpages on behalf of a multitude of local businesses.
