Date: October 24, 2013 EDTCES and WC Dining Services are partnering to bring Food Day to Washington College. Food Day is a nation wide celebration of local and sustainable food. Celebration of community and local foods from farms and the river will go from breakfast to dinner, followed by the documentary “InOrganic We Trust” and milkshakes in the Goose Nest!
Schedule of Events:
Breakfast (Hodson Dining Hall) (7:30-9:30 a.m.): Featuring your breakfast recipes and showcasing local bakery goods!
Lunch (Hodson Dining Hall) (11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) Featuring St. Brigid’s Farm, Chesapeake Greens, and Tessa Mae’s dressings.
Dinner (Hodson Dining Hall) (4:45-7:30 p.m.) Featuring the bounty of the Chesapeake, oysters! Join for an oyster shucking contest!
Documentary and Milkshakes (Goose Nest) (8:00-10:00 p.m.): Showing of InOrganic We Trust.
