Fitness and Fun

Johnson Fitness Center

The Johnson Fitness Center, also known as ‘The JFC’ is the place to go to get fit and have fun. Whether you want to grab a workout in the weight room or tackle a Zumba class, this is the place.

Renovated in 2013, the fitness center offers a wide-range of cardio machines and universal weight equipment. The field house holds 4 tennis courts, 3 basketball courts, which are surrounded by an indoor track. There are also 2 racquetball and squash courts.

If group exercise is your thing, then you can check out the different fitness classes offered throughout the day. Personal training is also offered.

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation has something for everyone. Whether you want to get involved in a Group Fitness class, go on one of our Outdoor Adventures, or hit the playing field as a member of a Club Sport or Intramurals team we’re confident you’ll have a good time here.

Never taken a Zumba class or played Badminton before? Don’t let that stop you from trying it. The majority of our programs require zero experience to jump in and participate, and our Group Fitness instructors and Campus Rec staff will make sure you have a great experience. For those people looking for a bit of a challenge though we’ve got you covered too, with our higher-level Fitness classes and competitive sports offerings.

Visit our page for all our info on programming that we offer, and if we don’t have something you want to see here let us know, we’ll make it happen.

Student Events Board

The Student Events Board is a student-run organization, made up of over 25 students, who’s sole purpose is to plan awesome events for the students at WC. The SEB works to have fun, innovative, and creative events to entertain a variety of students on campus. SEB strives to serve students all over campus.

The mission of the SEB is to engage students through social, creative, and collaborative events, which cultivate opportunities and increase co-curricular involvement in the Washington College community. From movie nights, giveaways, performers, make and takes, bus trips, and game shows, the SEB has the campus covered.
