237th Commencement Exercises

Congratulations, 2020 Grads!

Washington College's 237th Commencement Exercises will take place Saturday, October 17, at 10:30 a.m.

For our graduating seniors whose final semester was derailed by COVID-19, this day has been a long time coming. We are eager to welcome you back on campus so that we can celebrate your many achievements together, as a family. We want this day to be as memorable for you as it is for the College and all those involved. If circumstances of this public health crisis change and we determine that this on-campus event cannot be held as planned, we will let students and families know by Sept. 1.

But for now, we anticipate that restrictions on large gatherings will be lifted and that we can safely celebrate.  In addition to face coverings, we ask that graduates wear appropriate business attire and hard-soled shoes with their gowns. Smoking and drinking are not permitted at Commencement. Tobacco products and popping champagne corks can cause serious injury to guests and graduates. Do not bring pets; only service animals are allowed.
