I am a hematologist/oncologist in Silver Spring, MD which is truly a dream come true. I live in my hometown of Sykesville, MD with my husband, two daughters, and our Bernese mountain dog, Sully. I love watching the Ravens!

Let’s Hear It for the Liberal Arts

I loved being part of the tight knit community at WC. Having smaller classes and the ability to regularly interact with my professors helped me to prepare for medical school and beyond. Also being part of the rowing team was invaluable in terms of discipline, time management, and teamwork.

Advice

Seek out as much experience and exposure as possible in the field you're interested in. Medicine is all about making connections.
