    Major: International Studies and Economics

I work as a Senior International Programs Specialist at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC.  I recently returned to the U.S. after serving 5 years in Paris, France, as the NASA Europe Representative and have spent over 20 years in total at NASA in positions involving international relations, public affairs, and human spaceflight program management.  My current responsibilities revolve around building and maintaining international and interagency partnerships to further NASA's programs and missions.

    Favorite Professor

Dr. Tahir Shad had the biggest impact on me, trusting me with considerable responsibility and giving me a chance to lead in a variety of situations on and off campus.

    Fondest WC Memory

Working with two of my fellow students and then President Toll to gain funding for a small delegation to travel to the Harvard World Model United Nations in Budapest, Hungary.

Let’s Hear It for the Liberal Arts

At an academic level, my time at Washington College  gave me a foundation in international studies that I parlayed into a Graduate School degree and ultimately my job working in international relations. At a more abstract level, Washington College taught me to think strategically, anticipate things to come, handle responsibility, and better understand the world around me.

Explore the world and be sure to have some fun along the way, but while doing so, keep a journal to remember it all because time goes fast and will really start to blur together.
