Join us on campus at Washington College on June 22, 2019 for a sneak peek at the college admissions process and the chance to get all your questions answered about what applying to college looks like – from the application to athletics, finances and much more. We’ve got a great day planned, with special information sessions tailored specifically to rising senior needs. We’ll help you map out your journey from high school to college - there is LOTS of treasure to be found!

Ahoy! Get a sneak preview of the college campus with a tour while you wait for opening session.
10:00 - 10:30 – Welcome / Washington College Experience
Join Lorna J. Hunter, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Washington College, for an opening session and an introduction to how Washington College helps you do you.
10:45 – 11:15 – Workshop 1
Choose a topic and attend an info session to get a head start on the entire college admissions experience.
11:30 – 12:00 – Workshop 2
Grab more information on the college experience with a second workshop.
12:00 – 1:30 – Lunch, Campus and Chestertown Tours
Grab a bite in our Hodson Dining Hall with faculty, coaches, Enrollment Management staff, and members of the student body, and then join our tour guides to get better acquainted with Washington College and our home in Chestertown.

We’ll show you how to make your college application unforgettable! Pick up some great strategies for writing your college application essays, learn the best questions to ask at college fairs, and find out how to build great relationships with admissions counselors.
Buried Treasure: Hidden Gems of Financial Aid 101
College isn’t cheap, but you can make it work! Our Financial Aid counselors will introduce you to common scholarship and aid resources and give you the rundown of important financial aid deadlines, so you can stay ahead of the game when it comes to financing your education.
The Depths of What College Can Do for You
We’ll help you figure out the briny depths of the college experience. (Hint: Friends and clubs are super important, but have you considered availability of internships and access to academic support?) Meet with Student Affairs to learn a little bit about what college can offer, and how to ask for it.
Set your Sails for College Athletics
Talk with Washington College coaches and student-athletes about how to make it in the sports world in college. Bring your questions, and get ready to take notes on topics like application timelines, college expectations on athletes, and how to get coaches and recruiters to notice you on and off the field.
