Summer Block

Summer Block Courses

Immerse yourself in a transformational, out-of-the-box learning experience, while discovering a new passion and engaging in a dynamic new program.

Washington College is pleased to announce its Summer Block Course Program which offers four immersive courses that traverse disciplinary boundaries in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Each Special Topics course, conducted on campus from May 30-June 16, will challenge students to engage in intellectual discovery, creativity, and collaborative learning. Students spend five days a week with a singular academic focus, live together in a campus residence hall, and earn four academic credits. Field experiences, meals, evening, and weekend activities are also part of the summer block program.
