Steel Revolution is the premiere steel band on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Consisting of 10 performers playing 26 steel drums as well as drums and percussion, Steel Revolution is comprised of students from a variety of backgrounds. Since its establishment in 2012, the ensemble has steadily grown from 4 members to 10 with hopes of future expansion.

The ensemble performs a wide variety of music intended to show off the versatility of the steel drum. This includes traditional Trinidadian socas/calypsos, reggae, rock and roll, and even Classical music. 

Any student can join the steel band. No experience playing steel pans is needed! Students do, however, need to have the basic ability to read music if they wish to play a steel drum. Please contact the director if interested!
