African American Read-In
The Department of Education, in collaboration with other campus and community groups, hosts a local African American Read-In each year in Febriary.
The 2019 African AmericanRead-in, co-sponsored by the Department of Education, the Black Studies Program, Sumner Hall, and Kent County Public Library, was a standing-room only event at Sumner Hall in February. It featured community and college volunteers reading their favorite selections by African Americans, and everyone had an opportunity to read, share in a small group,or just listen and enjoy. All children who attended were given a book to take home with them! 02/19/2019
