Land and Sea Adventure

Eastern Shore Exploration

Monday

You will set out on the College’s wakeboarding boat to benefit from the thrills and spills of the Chester River. You can try tubing, wakeboarding, or water skiing. For those not looking to get wet, the group will also be taking out a second boat with paddle boards and fishing gear to take on a slower and more relaxed approach to exploring the Chester River. For lunch, we will head somewhere local in town before going back out on the boats in the afternoon.

Tuesday

Monday morning our group will depart early for nearby town Rock Hall, MD to experience one of the Eastern Shore’s greatest traditions. We will team up with Washington College alum Brant Nordhoff ’07 for a morning of crabbing, steaming, and picking; a true Eastern Shore experience! After our crabbing expedition, we will head back towards Chestertown to relax by the community pool.

Wednesday

On our final day of adventures, the group will begin by heading to Go Ape in the morning. New students will be able to challenge themselves and have fun on the exciting ropes course. For lunch we will plan to stop at a restaurant on the way home. The afternoon, students will head back to Washington College’s boathouse for another exciting afternoon of watersports and exploration. This will give some new students more opportunity to try one of the many activities that they did not get to on the first day.
