Kohl Gallery

The “2010 Senior Capstone Experience in Studio Art, Visual Art Thesis Exhibition,” displayed in the Kohl Gallery, featured the culminating projects of seven graduating seniors. The artworks reflected the diversity in the visual arts today.

The exhibit included interactive sculptural installation by Darby Hewes focused on an individual’s effect on nature, masks by dual Psychology and Studio Art major Karen Hye, and a multimedia slideshow with photographs and recorded voices by Christina Izzo.

Also displayed were Michael Komar’s large-scale figurative paintings on wood, Alexandra Moffat’s paintings investigating movement, depth, and detail, Caroline Perry’s site-specific installation, and Sarah Sheppard’s unique paper dresses.
