About the Grant

Events Schedule

The Washington's Legacy Project wants to inspire area American history teachers by offering a rich variety of stimulating, practical, high quality professional development experiences.

Combining the resources of the C.V. Starr Center for The Study of The American Experience at Washington College and Eastern Shore public schools, the Washington's Legacy Project will help teachers experience history from Colonial times through the Civil War in exciting and unusual ways while exploring current research on how students understand and learn history. You will become a part of a community of action research adventurers whose work will be shared with peers at conferences, on the project website, and as a CD-ROM.

Participation is voluntary, cost-free, and provides MSDE credits.

Teachers may choose to partake in as much of the overall programming as they wish.

For more information, contact Washington's Legacy Project Director Connie Schroth at 410-778-7120 or by email at cschroth@kent.k12.md.us.
