Senior Class Gift Aids Library

The Class of 2005 raised more than $3,000 to enhance online resources for Miller Library. The Senior Class Gift will be used to help purchase a subscription to "The New York Times Since 1851," a comprehensive online archive from one of the world's best-known newspapers.

Friends of the Miller Library and the Women's League of Washington College are also pitching in funds for this resource, which provides full-image content, cover-to-cover information accessible under multiple search options, article images for quick results, instant delivery of images, and easy printing/downloading in PDF.

Jon Balog, Amanda Barnes, Sarah Curnoles, Liz Dello Russo, Sarah Hill, Nicole Moore, Jill Nehr, Brian Norris, Laura Parr, Tammi Porter, Mike Ridgaway, Amanda Schmidt, Ambika Vishwanath, and Sara Wuillermin served on the Senior Class Gift Committee.

"The 2005 Senior Class NYT Online initiative, coupled with generous gifts from Friends of Miller Library and the Women's League, represents a dynamic new partnership among supporters of Miller Library," says Director Ruth Shoge. "This new partnership allows the library to purchase important electronic resources which will directly enhance the education students receive. The 2005 Senior Class deserves great credit and our thanks for spearheading this initiative."
