By day, physics professor Karl Kehm examines with his students the solid structure and dynamics of our planet, and the processes and features that characterize Earth's surface. On weekends, Kehm returns to the natural world to capture these striking landscapes that demonstrate the unique interaction between Earth's geosphere, biosphere, atmosphere and hydrosphere—more commonly known as earth, wind and water.
