Washington College offers 18 intercollegiate varsity sports and several club, intramural and recreational athletic opportunities for men and women. The College enjoys a strong tradition in championship-caliber men's lacrosse and men's tennis. Our proximity to the Chester River has fostered nationally competitive programs in rowing and sailing, as well as wakeboarding and waterskiing as a club sport.
Washington College is a member of the Centennial Conference, a consortium of national liberal arts colleges and universities in the Mid-Atlantic region that share similar academic aspirations and a commitment to the importance of the total educational experience for students engaged in sports. WC is also a member of the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association.
Among the College's athletic facilities are the new Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium, a waterfront boating park, and the Benjamin Johnson Lifetime Fitness Center.
