The Office of Wellness & Prevention Education engages the Washington College Community in creating a respectful and healthy living-learning environment.
A Message from the Director of Wellness & Prevention Education
My name is Lauren Gibson, and I am the Director of Wellness & Prevention Education. Washington College cares about the well-being and safety of its community members, including students, staff, and faculty. Our office addresses issues surrounding alcohol & other drugs, sexual assault and misconduct, dating violence, and stalking.
We offer a variety of programs and initiatives to build skills for students to develop healthy relationships, intervene when they see something that is bothersome or dangerous, communicating boundaries and respect, and making responsible choices around alcohol and other drugs. These initiatives will be interactive and provide an opportunity for open dialogue about how we can make your time here at Washington a safe, healthy, and fun experience!
We work closely with students, staff, faculty, and community members in creating a safe space for our community. I encourage you to read more about what we have to offer on our website, and don’t forget to like us on Facebook!
