Scholarship and Endowment
While a non-profit organization, the tradition of WC-ALL giving a financial gift to the College at the end of each year began soon after the organization was founded. Annual donations from $5,000 to $10,000 endow a yearly WC-ALL Scholarship begun in 1994; the first award was granted in 1999.
The original $25,000 funding is held in perpetuity by the College, while income, additional donations and gifts from WC-ALL members fund the scholarships. The annual recipients and amounts are established by the Office of Financial Aid, with preference given to Maryland residents intending to pursue careers in education.
