Chances are, you’re considering scholarship opportunities because you’re concerned about affording college altogether. Washington College offers merit- and need-based aid, but we also encourage students to apply for outside scholarships.
Washington College Scholarships
All accepted entering freshmen who are eligible will automatically be considered for need-blind, merit scholarships using your high school GPA and SAT-1or ACT scores.
For these Washington College scholarships, it is not necessary to apply for a particular scholarship or have prior knowledge of eligibility criteria except for a few select restricted scholarships.
Outside scholarships are awards that are not funded by the government or Washington College. These can be from a variety of organizations from corporations to the local Kiwanis.
We recommend getting started on the search for outside scholarships early, and can even recommend a few resources.
Annual and Endowed Scholarships
Our list of annual and endowed scholarships includes many of the merit-based scholarships awarded by Washington College but also lists need-based grants and awards. Students do not need to apply for these as they are awarded as part of the overall financial aid package.
