Training & Tutorials

The Office of Information Technologies offers training on flexible terms to the campus community. Workshops are augmented by live chats, open labs and tutorials on a range of topics. Below are our most current offerings for this semester.

Workshops

Introduction to Final Cut Pro X

Learn Final Cut Pro X. Six classes, 3 hours each � during the final class you are given the opportunity to take the exam for Final Cut Pro X Level One Certification ($100 cost to take the exam).

Start with basic video editing techniques and work all the way through Final Cut Pro�s powerful advanced features. Learn to mark and edit clips, mix sound, add titles, create transitions, apply filters, and more.

Availability:

  • March 6th (Tu) - April 16 (Tu) from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
    • Individuals registering for this workshop must commit to a total of six (6) sessions (one week off during Spring Break)

Open Lab Hours - Beck

As always, every Monday afternoon from 1:30 - 4:30, Beck is open for lab hours. Bring your projects and questions for help from Instructional Technology staff professionals.

Tech Tuesdays - Beck

Faculty only: drop in to Beck Lab on Tuesdays to get help with your gadgets, advice on technology and support from Instructional Technology experts in a relaxed environment.

Availability: Every Tuesday from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Extended Hour Help - MPC

The MPC not only serves the campus community during the normal workday. Stop by in the evening or on weekends for help with your multimedia projects from knowledgable student consultants.

Live Chat offers you a flexible new option for connecting with the exceptional support resources already available through the Office of Information Technologies.
