Update: The iPad2 has arrived. We now have both the original iPad and the iPad two being used in 5 classrooms this semester!
While the iPad is an amazing device, it is nothing but aluminum and glass without people with ideas for how to best implement it! We have been handing out our four demo units since April and Instructional Technology aims to get the iPad into the hands of as many faculty and staff as possible. Would you like to be next?
Interested faculty and staff need only contact Nancy Cross at 410-810-7167 to set up a test drive of the iPad. We will give you a hands on overview session (usually about twenty minutes) and send you out for the day, overnight, over the weekend or longer - just let us know what's convenient for you.
The only thing that we ask for is your feedback. Shortly after receiving an iPad, we will send you an email invitation to complete a brief survey about your time with the device. We would very much like to hear from you as it will help shape the future of tablet computing at Washington College.
Faculty interested in using a number of iPad devices with their students should contact Nancy Cross at 410-810-7167 to get started.
If you have more questions about our pilot program or the iPad in general, please contact Instructional Technologist Nancy Cross.
