iPad

Apple's iPad is here and Instructional Technology is piloting the device to faculty and staff. Learn more about the iPad and how you can get involved with our pilot!

What is the iPad?

Apple describes the iPad as "magical" but you will probably view it as one of the most intuitive computers you have ever used. No matter if you are young or old, the iPad has a way of just making sense. Use your fingers to select what you want on screen. Scroll by flicking. Turn the screen to rotate the image. If you have ever used an iPhone or iPod touch, you already know how to use the iPad.

With a high quality display, easy to use interface and a battery that lasts for days, (not to mention forward and rear-facing cameras on the iPad2), we feel that the iPad has the potential to add to the educational environment at Washington College in new and unexpected ways - and we look forward to finding out how you might want to use it.
