Campus Gaming

Are you a gamer? Would you like to take advantage of online games while you are on campus? Ready to get your PC or console connected? Read on!

Computer

The Office of Information Technologies created a Gaming Group on the college network. The group has unrestricted access to the network and to the Internet only for competitive interactive game playing purposes and for official college work. Because of the access level that is granted to this group some rules must apply. Review the Computer Gaming Policy to learn what is expected of participants in the Gaming Group.

To sign up for the Gaming Group...

First, please come to the HelpDesk in William Smith Hall to turn in the Gaming Policy & Contract form. You must present the signed form at the HelpDesk.

You will also need to bring the MAC address (hardware address) of the Ethernet port in your computer and your Washington College ID card with you to sign up. (All MAC addresses must be written legibly.)

Once your materials have been submitted, please connect your computer to the network and set it to not sleep. OIT will take up to 5 business days to process your request. You will receive a notice when you are ready to go!

Console

If you would like to get your console online for gaming, all you have to do is contact the HelpDesk by email with the MAC address for your XBox, Playstation or Nintendo. Please allow up to 5 business days for OIT to process your request.
