The Office of Intercultural Affairs is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment essential for all students’ cultural development and academic success. We serve as the principal office for promoting intercultural education for the purposes of critical thinking, moral courage, social responsibility increasing awareness of social justice issues, and effecting positive social change. The office serves as a support network for historically underrepresented students to foster community, academic achievement, engagement, and assist in leadership development.
1) Students who participate in programs offered by the Office of Intercultural Affairs will increase their awareness of their cultural ad identity developmental process and in return demonstrate greater appreciation for other cultures.
2) Students who participate in programs offered by the Office of Intercultural Affairs will demonstrate the ability to engage in respectful and cooperative dialogues around issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
3) Student leaders, employees, and interns who engage with the Office of Intercultural Affairs will be able to demonstrate the skills to plan programs that are intentional and foster an inclusive environment on campus.
4) Students who engage with the Office of Intercultural Affairs will learn to lead effectively with the purpose of critical thinking, moral courage, social responsibility and promote awareness of social justice issues.
