About the Assistant Provost
Dale Trusheim returned to the College as Assistant Provost for Institutional Research and Assessment in July 2008. Dale received his B.A. in Spanish in 1972 from Washington College and added a second major in Music in 1977. He received an M.A. (1981) and a Ph.D. (1984) in Sociology of Education from the University of Delaware. From 1974 through 1986, Dale held positions at Washington College in Admissions, the President’s Office, the Business Management Department, and Institutional Research. From 1986 to 2008, Dale worked in the Office of Institutional Research and Planning at the University of Delaware where he was active in national and regional institutional research associations. He and other colleagues taught the initial series on the Practice of Institutional Research sponsored by the Association for Institutional Research. Dr. Trusheim is the author or coauthor of several books, articles, and chapters in books, and has presented over 40 papers on the practice of institutional research at regional and national meetings.
