Dining and Meal Plans

All International students at Washington College are required to purchase a meal plan, with the exception of students living in the Kent Crossing Apartment complex.

What is a Meal Plan?

A meal plan is a pre-paid account that allows you access to the Dining Hall and other on-campus retail locations throughout the semester.  This way, you will never have to worry about what you will eat during your stay here.

Meal Equivalency

Meal Equivalency allows a meal card holder on specific plans to exchange a meal in the retail operations.  If you go over the amount specified on your particular plan, you must pay the difference in dollars or with your flex dollars.

There are two Meal Equivalency options, traditional and premium.

Traditional Equivalency:
This option allows you one meal exchange per day, at either Martha’s Kitchen or Mondos Subs up to a value of $5.  This option allows meal exchanges after 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and after 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Premium Equivalency:
This option allows you one meal exchange per day, at either Martha’s Kitchen or Mondos Subs, up to a value of $6.  There is no time constraint on this option, so you could exchange your meal at any time when these retail locations are open.
