Children’s National Medical Center Student Innovators Program
Washington College students may wish to apply for the Student Innovators Program at the Zayed Institute located at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Program dates to be announced.
Student innovators will spend two months working on well-defined research projects with Institute physicians-scientists and bioengineers in a unique training program focused on biomedical innovation theory and practice. Projects will be based on current work in bioengineering, pain medicine, immunology, systems biology, and innovation management.
The appointment to the Program carries a small stipend.

Is there a GPA and class requirement for this internship program?
For Washington College students a GPA of 3.6 or higher is required. Pre-med students may be particularly interested in applying for this opportunity although it is not restricted to a specific major.

Can I earn academic credit through this internship?
Yes a student can earn academic credit provided they sign a learning contract and an internship proposal form with an appropriate Washington College faculty member who will supervise the academic work component.
