Jobs and Internships
Get the word out about job and internship opportunities with your organization. It's easy and FREE! The Center for Career Development maintains a Student Job Hunters list serve aimed at students seeking
part-time local jobs.
Employers can also visit JOBS, by George! to set up a free account and post, revise, and delete job opportunities for members of the Washington College community. Whether you have an entry-level position, a position requiring more experience or a seasonal job to fill, we can make sure our students and alumni hear about it.
Students, faculty, staff and employers are encouraged to use Internships.com to search and list all internship opportunities.

On-Campus Recruiting
On campus interview sessions (half or full-day) can provide a great opportunity for employers to meet Washington College students. The Center for Career Development can assist you by publicizing the positions you seek to fill and by handling the entire interview scheduling process. If you would prefer, prior to scheduling interviews, student résumés can be collected and forwarded to you so that you can choose the candidates you feel are most qualified.
Résumé Referral
The Center for Career Development is prepared to assist you with easy access to résumés of students and alumni who meet criteria you have specified ahead of time. Simply contact the Center and set up a deadline by which time we will collect résumés for the positions you are seeking to fill. The résumés will then be forwarded to you and you can choose to interview selected students on-site at your organization or on our campus.
Information Table
An easy and informal way to connect with Washington College students is by
setting up an information table in one of our high-traffic areas (dining hall, book store, mailbox area, etc.). Plan to bring lots of print material to handout and enjoy the opportunity to discuss possibilities at your organizations with our students in a friendly and open setting.
Information Session
Whether you would like to conduct a small, less formal
information session in our Career Library or have us reserve one of the larger meeting places on campus for you, we can provide for your space and audio-visual needs.
Classroom Presentations
Annual Career Fair
The
Washington College Annual Career Fair is held each March. This is a popular event for both students and employers. As an employer you will be given
star treatment with free parking, free lunch and on-site continual assistance from our student members of SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) and SAMS (Student Athlete Mentors) who will help you set up, tear down and even man your booth when you need to take a break.
Site Visits
Counselors from the Washington College Center for Career Development in conjunction career counselors from 10 other college members of SLAC (Selective Liberal Arts Consortium) work each year to coordinate employer site visits during the Dec/Jan break. Site visits allow students the opportunity to get an in-depth look into your organization and you the opportunity to establish connections early on with those students seeking careers in a specific field.
