Get Involved As Washington College Alumni
The Career Center has a variety of opportunities for alumni to get involved with their alma mater. Not all opportunities are alike, some carry larger time commitments than others. The main focus of the Career Center is to help students develop their career, with this in mind the Career Center tries to connect students to alumni for internships, work shadowing, mentoring and jobs. Our newest program is mentoring: the program is open to any student with a GPA above 3.0 and working directly with the Alumni Relations office, we match students with a mentor. Alumni are recruited every spring.
If you are looking for an opportunity that is more face-to-face and less personal, the Career Center along with other departments bring alumni and recruiters to campus to speak diresctly to students in panels and informations sessions. One example of this is the Washington College to Wall Street Program. We also sponsor off-campus alumni networking events where students are occasionally invited.
