What We Do
Academic Technology helps to advance the College’s core mission, “providing a superior liberal arts education to prepare our students for the challenges of the 21st century.” To achieve this goal, we work with faculty, students and staff to apply technology effectively for the enrichment of the academic experience at Washington College. Through collaborations and partnerships, with a commitment to excellent customer service and creativity, we cultivate a culture of innovation that connects technology, people and our liberal arts values to enable our students to meet current and future challenges.
Who We Are
Academic Technology (AT) is part of the Department of Library and Academic Technology. We are professional instructional technologists and designers, educators, digital media producers, helpdesk consultants and certified computer technicians. AT is a diverse group of professionals committed to teamwork, building collaborative relationships and using our talents to support the academic success of our learning communities. Led by the Chief Academic Technology Officer; our key teams are Educational Technology, Digital Media Services, Client Support and Technical Services and Project Management Support. We are located in Miller Library and William Smith.
