Latoya Gatewood - Young

Class of 2011
Major/Minor: International Studies with concentrations in Global Business, Peace & Conflict Studies, and African Studies

My liberal arts education paved the way for unique opportunities and has definitely given me the competitive edge amongst my colleagues.

How many people can actually say that they had the opportunity to intern with the British government as an undergrad? Participating in the Hansard Scholars Programme and being able to study abroad for an entire year were just a few highlights of my liberal arts education.

My most rewarding experience was being Peer Mentor at Washington College and watching the growth of mentees over the course of four years.
