What do you do for a campus job or work study?
I am a Peer Mentor.
What are you up to this summer? And what are you most looking forward to?
I will be participating on the Bermuda experience with the college this summer. We will be staying at the BIOS (Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences) center in Bermuda where we will be doing research on the coral reefs around the area, as well as learn about the local aquatic animals, invertebrates, and plants. I will also be attending a leadership conference for the Kappa Sigma Fraternity in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, I will be participating in workshops to learn how to be an effective leader in the fraternity.
How has WC changed your life? Or, what does WC mean to you?
Choosing Washington College was single handedly the smartest decision I have ever made in my life. I love the campus size and the amount of students per class. You get individualized attention, which has greatly benefited me. I have made some great friends, and I feel like I have gained more confidence from attending Washington College. I started a new club and even rushed a fraternity, which I feel would not have happened if I did not attend WAC. I always tell people that attending Washington College forces you to be social and meet people, or your experience would not be as enjoyable or memorable.
What should every student do before they graduate?
Every student should try to study abroad or do a summer program before they graduate. College is only for a short time and you should take advantage of all the opportunities that are presented to you. It will make your overall experience that much more memorable.
