Shane is a second year Presidential Fellow student focusing on political science and economics. Hailing from the Philadelphia region, he began his collegiate studies with the Starr Center aboard the schooner Sultana. After graduating in 2016, Shane hopes to become involved with political participation and organizing, with special interest in contemporary American issues, social equality, and citizen participation.
With the college, he currently serves as treasurer for their Trap and Skeet Team as well as Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Having participated in Model United Nations, he has participated in competitions at Yale University as well as McGill University in Montreal. Traveling abroad during the summer of 2013, Shane studied peace, conflict and religion as well as leadership ethics with students from around the world in a global program held in Rome, Italy. This fall, he participated in the Washington to Wall Street Program, where he took part in corporate training and venture seminars both here in Chestertown as well as New York City. With the Starr Center, Shane works as an Oral History Student Associate.
