Amanda Asmus is an accomplished museum and history professional with a strong grasp on digital information. In her time assisting the Smithsonian Institution and the National Park Service she cataloged, indexed, and digitized work for exhibits and archives. A graduate in Art History from Clark University and a master from the Smithsonian Institution in History of Decorative Arts she accomplished curatorial and historic preservation. Working at Washington College she has been able to return to her search for historical understanding using Geospatial data. As a follower in 21st century skills, she is helping the lab by highlighting best practices, historical analysis, social media, and project management tools to create dialogues. Assisting students and helping them find intellectual consensus by implementing research is one of her overarching goals.
