A 2013 graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Tonie Domino now practices large-animal medicine with Valley Equine Associates in Ranson, West Virginia.
Licensed to practice in West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland, she is most passionate about preventative medicine, herd health, and working with small ruminants and dairy cattle.
Tonie grew up in Annapolis, Maryland, riding and working with horses. As a pre-veterinary student at Washington College, she landed an internship at a dairy farm in upstate New York the summer before her senior year. While working at Heart’s Delight Farm, part of the William H. Mine Agricultural Institute, Tonie completed a research project that earned first prize at the national conference of the Beta Beta Beta honor society in biology.
She says she loves veterinary medicine because it allows her to spend time outdoors, interact and talk with interesting people, and constantly learn each and every day, all while working with animals.
In her spare time, Dr. Domino enjoys spending time with her 19-year-old gelding, Badger, her collie, Milo, and her two cats, Polly and Turtle.
