The central objectives of the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment are to provide systematic, objective, timely, and accurate research in support of the College’s goals, planning, and decision-making. Dale works with administrative staff, department chairs, faculty members, and students to achieve these goals.
From 1986 to 2008, Dale worked in the Office of Institutional Research and Planning at the University of Delaware where he was active in national and regional institutional research associations. He and other colleagues taught the initial series on the Practice of Institutional Research sponsored by the Association for Institutional Research.
Dr. Trusheim is co-author of the Case Against the SAT (University of Chicago Press, 1988) and Strategies for the Practice of Institutional Research: Concepts, Resources, and Applications (Association for Institutional Research and North East Association for Institutional Research, 1994). Dr. Trusheim is the author or coauthor of several research articles, chapters in books, and has presented over 40 papers on the practice of institutional research at regional and national meetings.
