Tricia is interning with Global Centurion, a nonprofit in Washington D.C. dedicated to researching the demand side of human trafficking.
I spend most of the typical day reading through sources in Spanish (or occasionally Portuguese!) to glean information about cases of trafficking that have been brought to court in Latin America, and building contacts with embassies and government agencies in Spanish-speaking countries. My Hispanic Studies major and language ability have been invaluable. After my time with Global Centurion, I plan on attending grad school, where I hope to continue to integrate my language skills and my passion for human rights and international development.
