What surprised you most about Wac?: What surprised me the most about college was how little I actually knew about WAC. Once I moved onto campus, I realized that I had never taken a formal tour of WAC and I had no idea that we had student lounges and so many hidden spots around campus where you can hang out or study at. Also, I was really surprised about how helpful everybody was and how the other students and professors were so willing to help out in whatever way possible. Even though I didn’t know everything about school, there were so many different resources for me to help figure it all out.
What is the one thing you wish your would have known as a Freshman?: I wish that I would have found a really solid study spot. Sometimes studying in the dorm or library doesn’t work well. Also, study with other people! You never know if you actually understand the material until someone quizzes you (and you can make new friends!).
What is your favorite place to eat in Chestertown?: My absolute favorite place to eat at in Chestertown is Plaza Tapatia. I love getting a bag of chips to snack on while studying and the salsa is delicious! The rest of the food is affordable and super filling. The other great place to go to study and hang out is Play It Again Sams. The sandwiches are awesome and a great break from the dining hall.
