Q&A
Hometown: Pottstown, PA
What do you do for a campus job or work study?
I am an OSA Office Assistant and an Elm Writer, as well as being a Peer Mentor.
What are you up to this summer? And what are you most looking forward to?
I will be doing an Oral History project with the C.V. Starr Center through the Cater Society. The project will be exploring the Civil Rights Movement on the Eastern Shore, and I specifically will be looking at student involvement and viewpoints from this time period. After that, I will either be interning and working in Annapolis or working at home.
Have you had any internship, research, or study abroad experiences?
I have! During the summer of 2011, I studied in Seoul, South Korea at the Yonsei University International Summer School. In the spring of 2012, I interned for Benchworks, a local marketing company in Chestertown. Over the summer of 2012, I did a virtual internship for Inboundify Marketing while working a retail job at home. Then just last fall 2012, I studied in Madrid, Spain.
How do you unwind?
I like to drink a giant cup of steaming hot tea and either read a really terrible, cheesy romance book or watch sitcoms. I also visit Buzzfeed way too often. It’s so true to life.
