On Being A Peer Consultant At The Writing Center
I wanted to become a peer consultant to help other students with their writing. I was surprised to find that I have become more aware and sensitive to my own writing skills and habits through my experience as a consultant. It’s not just a tutor/tutee session; a consultation is a peer-to-peer conversation, fueled by both sides. I’m learning just as much as the student does.
