Studio Art Experience Leads To Graduate Success
Yasmina Moukarzel’s artwork exudes her personality. There’s charm and humor and a contemporary feel quite different from the more classical work she produced as an underclassman. “My professors really helped me open up,” she explains. “With their support and encouragement, I felt like I could really explore.”
In her senior year, Yasmina received the Jurors’ Art Award of Distinction at the Student Art Show for her mixed media collection. Today, she continues to take art classes at the Art Institute of Philadelphia and is pursuing a master’s degree in interior architecture at Drexel University.
“I have lots of friends who went to bigger schools, and they didn’t get half the attention I received at Washington College,” says Yasmina. “On a professional level and on a personal level, my professors helped me so much, and made me really appreciate art and everything about artists.”
