Tim Reath

Class of 1996

Tim is the past chair of the Alumni Board.

After graduating from Washington College in 1996, Tim started his career in the Maritime Industry working as a steamship agent handling all of the affairs for the ships that came in and out of the port of Baltimore.

He was the eyes and ears of the ship owners and/or charters while the ship was in port. He dealt with a wide range of tasks from arranging for a bay pilot to pick up a ship at the beginning of the Chesapeake Bay to making sure that the ship had provisions for its upcoming trip across the open seas. After 7 years in the maritime industry, Tim decided he needed a new challenge so he entered into the financial services industry.

Tim started his financial services career at Morgan Stanley where he worked for 5 years. He has since left Morgan Stanley and is a Principal with the Chesapeake Group at UBS Financial Services. His group has opened the newest UBS office in Annapolis, MD where he focuses on High Net Worth Asset Management.

Tim currently serves on the board of the Annapolis Arts Alliance. The Annapolis Arts Alliance provides a forum for members of our arts community to network, collaborate, polish creative skills, and showcase the rich artistic life of Greater Annapolis. The Alliance supports resource identification, information dissemination, arts education and event programs, and provides a collective voice for the Annapolis arts community.

After serving several years as a volunteer for the Alumni Association of Washington College in the role of Chapter Chair, the Nominations Committee Chair and Chair Elect of the Board, Tim served as the Chair of the Alumni Board from 2010-2012.

Tim and his wife, Mary Price Wick Reath ’95, and their three sons, Timmy (8), Henry (6) and Stuart (3) reside in Annapolis, MD.
