Class of 1962
After college, I worked as software engineer with Bell Labs, Ford Motor Company and Dallas Cowboys. Returned to graduate school for systems and industrial engineering. After graduate school, I started my own software development company and have been operating the company for the past 34 years. Four years ago began downsizing company to retire, Still trying to retire, hopefully soon.
Hobbies include hiking and biking in the States and throughout Europe, I am a licensed private pilot and certified scuba diver. Married for 38 years to Linda Parmoon (Linda Grafton, a Washington College alumna). We have two daughters, a son, and seven grandchildren.
Washington College is special to me. As a foreign student, WC was my home for four school years. Few have spent Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays on campus all alone. It is a different and almost a spiritual experience to walk the snow on campus and not hear a sound other than your own footsteps. Washington College was instrumental in my transition from an “alien” to an “American” which has shaped the balance of my life in this country. I am especially thankful to Dr. Ermon Foster, our Registrar, who guided and assisted me when I was on my own in this country and unfamiliar with various social and cultural customs. So Washington College is more than just a school to me.
