Charles “Tot” Woolston retired as Vice Provost Emeritus from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2000. He taught math and coached baskeball before returning to school where he earned an PhD from the University of Maryland College Park.
He spent the rest of his career in higher education, 32 years at UMBC. He presently resides in the Canton neightborhood of Baltimore with his wife of 10 years Bonnie. They have 3 children, one of whom, Matthew, is also a WC graduate, two grandchildren and are expecting another grandchild in July.
Their children live in Baltimore, Brooklyn N.Y., and Napa California so traveling is very much a part of their lives. Tot continues to do some consulting in between golf, theater, and watching sporting events.
